Hydrating Honey Hair Mask

Some conditioners sit on top of your hair. This one goes to work. Big Yang's Hydrating Honey Hair Mask is a deep-treatment formula built on a plant-derived conditioning base, loaded with honey and calendula, meant for the strands that have had a long week: over-washed, over-heated, over-it. Five to ten minutes in the shower, and you can feel the difference before you even rinse it out.

We built this one small-batch, the same way we build everything at Big Yang: real ingredients, nothing hiding behind a fragrance to cover up a thin formula, and a price that doesn't punish you for wanting something nice. Luxury you can actually afford, not luxury you have to justify.

What's actually doing the work

• A plant-derived conditioning base. The Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, and Butylene Glycol that give this mask its rich, slip-everywhere texture are all plant-derived, so the whole formula leans naturally, not just the parts you can smell.
• Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey. A honey-derived conditioning agent that smooths the hair shaft and locks in moisture, giving you real softness without that heavy, waxy build-up some masks leave behind.
• Calendula Extract. Calming and conditioning for both scalp and strands, pulled from the same gentle botanical we use across our skincare line.
• Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5). Helps strengthen hair and bring back shine that heat styling and hard water tend to strip away.
• A natural fragrance blend. Fresh fruit up top, soft florals in the middle, and a warm, grounding musk-and-amber-wood base. It's an aromatherapy moment built right into your hair routine, not an afterthought.

How to use it

Apply generously to clean, damp hair, focusing on mid-lengths and ends, the parts of your hair that take the most abuse and show it the most. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes to let the honey and calendula actually do their job, then rinse thoroughly. Use it once or twice a week as a deep treatment, or if your hair is on the drier side, reach for it daily in place of a regular conditioner. It's flexible enough to work either way.

Why a mask instead of a daily conditioner

A rinse-out conditioner smooths the surface for the day. A mask is given time to actually sit in the hair shaft and repair from the inside, which is why we built this one as a treatment first. Think of it as the difference between a quick touch-up and an actual reset.
